WANDERERS striker Scott McGleish turned out for his third club this season when he helped Orient to victory against Crewe on Saturday.

The 35-year-old joined the Os on loan until the end of the season after previously being loaned to Northampton.

It is his third spell at Brisbane Road. He first signed for the Os on loan during the 1994-95 season and rejoined them again in 1996 in a £50,000 deal, scoring seven league goals in 36 games before being transferred to Barnet.

The veteran hit-man scored 26 goals for Wycombe last season but after finding it difficult to break into Peter Taylor's new-look Wanderers this year, he is relishing the challenge of playing a part in Orient's relegation battle.

He told Leyton's local press: "I don't think I have anything to prove at Wycombe, I did that last season with the goals I scored there.

"But I feel I have some unfinished business here at Orient, because I was sold before I fulfiled my potential, and I don't think the fans saw the best of me."

McGleish made his third Orient debut in Saturday's 1-0 win against Crewe and was delighterd to be back on the pitch.

He said: "Hopefully, I will be playing a lot more than I was at Wycombe and will get the opportunity to score goals.

McGleish had a great chance to notch his 205th career goal last week but failed to touch the ball home from close range.

"I got my first senior goal here and I should've got my next senior goal with that attempt," he said: "I'm just thankful it wasn't a crucial miss as we ended up with the three points.
