THE man who helped bring Chris Zebroski to Wycombe is now hoping to bring one of the game’s most exciting young strikers to Adams Park as well.

Agent Dean Sheehan believes Billy Kee is Taylor-made for the League One Wanderers.

Hotshot Kee has plundered 46 goals in 43 matches for Leicester City’s reserve and academy sides – but is now desperate for a crack at first team football.

The 18-year-old prospect has rejected the offer of a new contract at the Walkers Stadium because he fears they won’t blood him in the first team yet, following their promotion to the Championship.

Exeter City, Bradford City, Bournemouth and Notts County are all poised to pounce – but it is unclear how much compensation Leicester will demand for the Northern Ireland U19 international.

But Sheehan wants his client to come to Wycombe.

He spoke to Taylor after the pair watched the teenager bag two more goals for Leciester’s academy in their 5-2 win over Reading on the last day of the season.

Sheehan has already seen what Wanderers have done for Zebroski and he believes Taylor, the former England U21 manager, is just the man to take Kee’s career to the next level.

He said: “He would be perfect for Peter Taylor and Peter Taylor would be just right for him.

“Wycombe would be my first choice for him because of Peter Taylor and because of the chairman there.

“Billy is ready for first team football, he wants to learn his trade in the lower divisions, he has proved what he can do at reserve and academy level and he’s ready to mix it with the big boys now.

“He’s got tremendous ability and is as aggressive as they come.”

Taylor though is playing a waiting game with his summer transfers.

He wants to sign six new faces during the close season but says he won’t be diving in until he has seen who is available and who is being released.
