WYCOMBE Wanderers were last night considering a £500,000 bid from Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday for Nathan Tyson.
The Owls had two bids rejected on Wednesday but trumped that with their half a million pound offer yesterday.
That bid which would shatter Wycombe's transfer record of £295,000 received from Swindon for striker Keith Scott 12 years ago was being considered by the Blues board yesterday.
They don't want to lose their 11-goal hitman, but know that if they don't sell him in January's transfer window, he can leave for nothing in the summer.
