WASPS boss Ian McGeechan will resist ringing the changes when Worcester come visiting on Sunday (ko 3pm).

The Premiership champions came a cropper last season when previous director of rugby Warren Gatland fielded a weakened team at Worcester thinking his side still had enough firepower to shoot down the Warriors.

But he could only sit back and watch his side lose to a powerful pack and McGeechan has no wish to do likewise.

And that could mean Raphael Ibanez coming in at hooker to boost his front row, while centre Ayoola Erinle is likely to step in at centre, with Fraser Waters stepping down to the bench.

Martin Purdy is set to continue in the second row, with Simon Shaw still nursing a sore back.

Erinle's partner Stuart Abbott will make his 50th league appearance for Wasps if he plays.

For Worcester, prop Chris Horsman is rated 50-50 to play, with Pacific Islander Tevita Taumoepeau waiting in the wings if Horsman fails a late fitness test.

Number eight Drew Hickey and Kai Horstmann also face late fitness tests.

At fly half, James Brown is now fit and could take the place of Shane Drahm after his poor kicking display last weekend.

The match should feature a real-time clock for the first time, with the scoreboard clock linked to the referee's watch so fans will know how much time is left.

- Wasps' reserve team came a cropper, losing 52-12 at Gloucester on Monday evening.

Centre Tim Foster was Wasps' main points scorer, grabbing two tries for last year's beaten finalists.

Wasps are hoping for better when they play their first A game at their new home - Henley Hawks - on Monday against Bath.

All of Wasps' A games will be played at Dry Leas this year after the two clubs struck a deal to bring reserve rugby to the Thames Valley area.
