WASPS director of rugby Tony Hanks says he’s spoilt for choice ahead of Saturday’s season-opener against Harlequins at Twickenham.

The side are in good spirits after two big pre-season victories and of Hanks’ squad of 35, only three players are definitely ruled out.

He said: “We’ve got some difficult decisions leading into the weekend with the number of guys that are fit and in pretty good form.

“There is lots of competition and I said to the guys that it’s a lot more difficult to pick a squad for this game than it was 12 months ago.”
