MARTIN Rowlands is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after his hamstring injury flared up again.

The QPR loanee was forced off midway through the first half of Wanderers’ 4-3 defeat against MK Dons this afternoon.

Manager Gary Waddock said it wasn’t a gamble to put the former Ireland international straight back into the side however.

He said: “It backfired because he’s had to come off. He’s trained Thursday and Friday without any reaction.

“Games like this will test anybody if they have got a slight weakness. He’ll be out for a few weeks.”
