BLUES boss Gary Waddock admits taking Martin Rowlands on loan from QPR was a risk because of his history with injuries.
The former Ireland international is out with a hamstring problem after the injury flared up during Blues' defeat against MK Dons two weeks ago and he won't face Chesterfield tomorrow.
Waddock said he knew the move would prove to be a gamble despite Rowlands showing what he's capable of when he's made it onto the pitch.
He said: "He's a very good player but we knew this may happen because of the period of time he's been out without first team games, so we knew he may pick up one or two strains."
