They won 25-20 and are now 18 points clear of their Bucks rivals after just eight matches.

Meanwhile, in National League 3 South West, Amersham powered to a valuable victory at Maidenhead.

They won 47-12 to record only their second league victory of the season.

It was also a good day for Beaconsfield, who ended their losing streak in conclusive style at Romford & Gidea Park.

They won 39-5 to register their first victory of London 1 Northat the eighth attempt.
