Will De Havilland has returned from his loan spell at Aldershot Town to provide cover in the Chairboys’ defence following a series of injuries.

Michael Harriman, Sido Jombati and Anthony Stewart have all been out of action to leave manager Gareth Ainsworth short of options in the backline ahead of a busy schedule of league and cup action.

Ainsworth said: “Injuries are just starting to hurt us at the moment so we’ve made the decision to recall Will to give us another option in defence.

“He did really well in his first spell with Aldershot at the start of the season, but picked up a knock and hasn’t had much game time in his second spell there.

“We’re hopeful that Sido and Anthony will be back with us soon, although Michael’s injury is a long-term one, but there’ll be chances for everyone with plenty of league matches coming up as well as the Checkatrade Trophy and FA Cup games, so Will should have the opportunity to get minutes under his belt.”
