Wycombe forward Scott Kashket expressed his delight at scoring the winner on his first start of the season against Grimsby Town.
Kashket has endured a frustrating time with injury this term but scored from close-range in the second half to seal a priceless win for the Blues.
Speaking to the Bucks Free Press after the game, Kashket said: "I was desperate to score but getting the winner makes it all that much better.
"I would like to think my injury issues are behind me now. I am always in early to training do the work and I hope that all stays in the past."
Last season, Kashket formed a destructive partnership with Adebayo Akinfenwa and the two of them were a constant headache for the Grimsby rearguard.
Kashket added: "We said before the game we are back together now and that's what we wanted and it was good to score playing up front with him."
With a plethora of forwards in contention for a start, Kashket said: "We must have six wingers for two positions which is pretty mad but I am going to keep working hard."
