Wycombe District SC shine in CMK

WYCOMBE District Swimmers took part in the CMK open meet last weekend and, although gold was hard to come by at this high level meet, the club came away with an excellent medal haul of 41 in total.

The top performers for Wycombe were George Longhurst, 13, who won six medals, including one gold, three silvers and two bronzes, and Beth Hirst, 14, who also took one gold, two silvers and a bronze.

Meanwhile, the highly competitive 15 and over age group racing produced some great results.

Issy Baxter came away with five silvers and a bronze around her neck, while Katie Cannon took two silvers in the same category.

In the boys races, Dan Manners won a gold and a silver, while Aidan Roberts and Connor Lewis each won a bronze.

Across the other age groups, further golds were scooped up by Cameron Brooker, Josie Searle and Harry Engall, who also claimed a bronze.

Other medalists included Josh Howard, James Baxter,Ethan Carter, Chris Harbour, Lewis Ball, Hannah Summers, Emily Cannon, Kate Lees and Millie Sansome.
