DENNIS Oli will be a key player for Wanderers once he's back up to full match fitness, believes Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth.

Ankle ligament damage has kept the imposing frontman out of the side for two months and he's now back in the side after recovering.

Ainsworth said he played a big role as the focal point of Wycombe's attack against Rochdale - setting up Joel Grant for his stunning equaliser - but added once he's fully fit he'll prove a handful for defences.

The Wanderers boss said: "Dennis Oli would agree with me that he started slow. He's not fully fit yet, he's missed a lot of games over the last couple of seasons but he's one that's going to work hard to get up to match fitness so he can start games really well.

"I thought Dennis played a big part second half. He seemed to be a thorn in Rochdale's side. In the end a lot came through him - he had a big part to play in the goal as well."
