OLLY Taylor needs beefing up before he's ready for a regular first team spot, believes Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth.

The 18-year-old features in Ainsworth's plans for the future but the Blues boss this week sent him out on loan to Hitchin Town.

Taylor scored twice on his debut and Ainsworth hopes he will benefit from the move in the same way as Josh Scowen and Charles Dunne, with both teenagers now regulars in the side.

He said: "I think he could do with toughening up a little bit for men's football.

"He scores good goals in our development games. The step he made into the first team was just too big a step. When he started at Dagenham it was a baptism of fire for him."
