TWO of the division's surprise packages go head-to-head tomorrow as Wanderers travel to Morecambe.

The Shrimpers were largely expected to struggle this season but were the only side in League Two to have a 100 per cent winning record after four matches.

Their form tailed off slightly after that but they brought a run of three successive defeats to an end with a win at promotion contenders Southend United to remain fifth in the table.

For their part Wanderers sit second, having missed out on the chance to go top after failing to beat Northampton Town on Saturday.

But Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth said that while League Two is an open field, in the end money talks - which is why he's keen to hit 50 points sooner rather than later.

He said: "People had their favourites at the start of last season and their predictions seemed to come true. The Scunthorpes and Chesterfields were fancied highly because of what they did in the summer.

"The Burys, the Northamptons and Southends are up there because of what they did this summer.

"It's not easy to predict but sometimes people do get it right in League Two of who's going to be round the top.

"There's a couple of teams at the bottom who'll get out of it, like York and Oxford. York had a great second half to last season.

"That's why I'm keen to get as many points on the board as soon as I can. The season's different in the second half - things change rapidly, as we saw for ourselves last year."

Ainsworth added: "Along with ourselves they're the surprises at the top end. We are similar clubs. Morecambe have started well, similar to us, when everyone thought they would be down the bottom.

"I'm expecting Jim Bentley to play the style he does. He likes to get the ball down and play, not all long ball like we've seen from certain teams in previous weeks.

"Anyone can beat anyone - this game, I wouldn't want to be the bookie and call it."
