The excitement and drama of Tuesday night’s late late win against Crewe Alexandra sets things up perfectly for our Quid-A-Kid game here against Barnet at Adams Park tomorrow.

The initiative came about after we were really impressed by the facilities that Barnet offer to away fans when we visited in April, and we identified the same fixture as one where we’d like to create a special away day for families when we go to The Hive later this season.

But we’re also proud of the welcoming environment that we offer to home and away fans at our very own Adams Park, from the moment they reach the gates to be greeted by our stewards, to the marquee, Blues BBQ, music and inflatable target practice activity that all help to create an enjoyable build-up to the big game.

With that in mind, we approached Barnet about a reciprocal ticket offer whereby all juniors could watch either/both games for just £1, in all areas of the stadium. They were more than happy to agree to the deal and we’re looking forward to welcome a bumper crowd of young Chairboys and Bees fans to Adams Park tomorrow.

Away from the football, it’s been another positive week at Adams Park, and I’d just like to give you a little insight into what goes on behind the scenes. I spent Wednesday at St George’s Park with the Football Association at a safeguarding conference, where representatives from a range of bodies came together to discuss what measures need to be taken to ensure football remains safe and enjoyable for all. It was humbling and inspiring hearing from Paul Stewart, who courageously opened up about his experiences publically late last year. We continually review and monitor our strong safeguarding principles and policies that we as a club hold, in partnership with our Sports and Education Trust.

Meanwhile, Adams Park has been the headquarters for the film crew of a well-known ITV drama and hosted several corporate days, developments for the launch of a new home kit next summer are already underway, we’re looking at some enticing ticket promotions and planning for Christmas in terms of the parties we host at Adams Park, the range of items in the shop, and celebrating the festive period at matches and in the local community.

There’s never a dull moment, and everyone’s working hard on and off the pitch to help this supporter-owned club make progress. Please come along tomorrow and be part of the journey – you never know where it could take us!
