CHESHAM United scored two late goals to stave off defeat at home to Barwell at the weekend.

They were trailing 2-0 with just 12 minutes of their Southern Premier League match to go, but James Potton pulled one back after 78 minutes before Toby Little earned his team a point with an equaliser two minutes from time.

Theirs was just one of two games in the division to survive the deluge.

Tomorrow they make the short trip to St Albans City.

Meanwhile, in Division One Central, Chalfont St Peter lost 2-1 at home to Royston Town, Adam Louth scoring their consolation.

All but one of the other fixtures were cancelled, with Beaconsfield's trip to Godalming among them.
