Wycombe District wins club of the year
Wycombe District Swimming Club has won the prestigious Bucks and MK Sports Club of the Year 2014 award.
The club beat off competition from Aylesbury Rugby Club and Marlow Sports Club to take the honour at a ceremony in front of 300 people at Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre during the ninth annual edition of the Bucks & MK Sports Awards.
The club prides itself on its work with the Bucks New University Swimming Team and helping individuals from all backgrounds learn to swim.
There has also been a 50 per cent rise in qualified coaches at the club over the past year, another factor which made them the outstanding candidates for the award.
