High Wycombe moved to within three points of Home Counties Division One leaders Henley after trashing Burnham by nine wickets.

Nathan Hawkes’ team defeated the table toppers last weekend and followed it up with a brutal demolition of their eighth place opponents on Saturday.

The visitors batted first and were bowled out for 201 as the Wycombe bowlers Alan Duncan (2-44), Jonathan Burden (2-41), Kyle Simmonds (2-26) and Adam Dobb (2-2) shared the wickets around.

Wycombe wasted no time in knocking off the runs, bludgeoning their way to victory for the loss of just one wicket after 21.3 overs.

Opener Adam Hose hit a blistering 108 off 69 balls before captain Hawkes (66*) came into finish the job after Gavin Baker (22) had been caught and James Benning (2*) retired hurt.

Wycombe are away this weekend as they take on rock bottom Oxford.
