High Wycombe Belles returned to action in fine style on Sunday as they ran out 32-12 winners over Welwyn.
Having not played a competitive match of rugby since before Christmas, the Belles would have been forgiven for not starting well but they were ahead within five minutes as Melody Czakan went over.
Ella Whittaker then scored twice to increase the Wycombe lead before Lola Curtis stretched the advantage further as she ran the length of the pitch to score.
Curtis was again instrumental as she made a strong break and offloaded superbly for Sasha Edhouse to charge over from five yards out.
Seren Peperall added a final flourish for the Belles with a try in the corner as they cruised to a comfortable win.
There was further reason to celebrate for the Belles as both Pepperall and Ella Green were selected for the South West of England under-15 side.
