Beaconsfield Lions found their form in the Bucks Squash League Division One as they beat Wycombe Squash and Racket Club’s (WSRC) Firsts and Chesham Bois 1B.

The Lions have experienced a lacklustre season and headed into the weekend fixtures languishing at the foot of the table.

That all changed though as first they eased past WSRC by a score of 18-8 before overcoming Chesham 14-8.

The results see Chesham replace Beaconsfield as the division’s bottom side.

In Division Three, Beaconsfield Trojans beat leaders Rivets 17-7 to keep their slim hopes of claiming the title alive.

The result may ultimately prove to be academic as Rivets still enjoy a 43 point lead over Trojans, but Beaconsfield will remain optimistic of overturning the deficit as they have two games in hand.

Division newcomers Bisham ended their year of woe on a positive note as they recorded their second win of the season with a victory over Chesham 1879.

The win came far too late to save Bisham from the ignominy of finishing bottom of the table and they end their campaign 57 points adrift of their closest rivals.

Temple Wycombe’s hopes of securing the second and final promotion place from the Berkshire Division 2A remain intact heading into the season’s closing stages.

They are just one point behind Royal Berkshire, who they enjoy a superior head to head record over, but did have to concede all 20 points in their previous fixture as they were unable to field a full team.
