High Wycombe sidecar racer Brian Gray returned to action in the British championship after a six-week summer break.
Gray, who races alongside Adam Christie, took to the Dinnington track to compete in both the British Formula One Sidecar Championships and World Championship event.
A two-part qualifying session saw the duo secure ninth spot on the grid for Saturday’s opening race.
They maintained a strong pace throughout the race but still slipped a place to finish 10th.
They followed up their opening race effort with a solid eighth spot in the pairs World Championship race as Finnish pair Pekka Paivarinta and Kirsi Kainulainen were crowned world champions.
Both Gray and Christie headed into Sunday’s race full of confidence that they could better their previous showing.
However, mechanical issues hamstrung their chances somewhat and they once again came in 10th.
They then had to pull out of the final race due to further engine issues.
