THE Bucks Free Press understands that director Keith Blagbrough is set to resign from the club’s board on Monday.

It is believed he will tender his resignation at the club’s board meeting.

He has been one of two supporters representatives on the board since the club was converted to a plc four years ago.

He was appointed by supporters to represent their views.

But it is believed he has become increasingly frustrated with the direction the club has been taking.

If his resignation is accepted, the Blues will have to find a new director from the Supporters Trust.

The Trust, which is designed to protect the heritage of the club and ensure its existence for future generations, has been mounting a major publicity campaign and recruitment drive since the merger of the Supporters Trust and the Founders Trust.

The Supporters Trust has raised its profile with the appointment of BBC television Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull, former player Keith Ryan and Karen Adams, grandaughter of the club’s benefactor Frank Adams as figureheads.

The Trust has two seats in the boardroom and is the supporters’ direct link to the boardroom.
