FORMER Premiership ace Michael Duberry has left the Blues by mutual consent with 18 months of his contract left to run.
The former Chelsea and Leeds centre half signed in a blaze of glory on a free transfer from Reading in the summer. He rejected overtures from Charlton to join the Blues and was handed the captain's armband.
But it quickly went sour. He has fallen down the pecking order at Adams Park under new boss Gary Waddock, losing his captain's armband and his place in the side.
The writing was on the wall for the 34 year-old when Waddock preferred to name a slimmed down five or six man substitutes' bench rather than include Duberry on it.
Duberry told the Free Press in an exclusive interview last week that he wanted to stay and fight for his place but today he and Wanderers have agreed a severance deal.
