DANNY Wilson was pipped to the Wycombe Wanderers' manager's job when John Gorman got it - tomorrow he comes back with his Hartlepool United side needing just one point to win promotion.

In his first season at the helm, Wilson has guided the Pools to the brink of League One with a run of just one defeat in their last 25 games - a sequence which breaks down into 20 wins and four draws.

But the man who once guided Barnsley into the Premiership is taking nothing for granted neither is he just after the point that will see his team in League One.

He said: "Until you see the P word at the side of our name we're not promoted."

And he added: "We've got to go there and put in a big performance and get the three points because the title is our aim.

"While the priority is to get a point we need three points because that would be a big step towards the championship."

Wilson's team will be backed by a travelling army of more than 1,000 fans tomorrow and Wanderers are determined to make sure there won't be any champagne corks popping tomorrow in the away end tomorrow as their need for points is arguably greater as they bid to climb back into the play-off zone.

Wilson says the pressure is all on Wycombe going into the game.

He said: "The pressure is on Wycombe. They have been at the top all season but they have slipped of late and now find themselves out of the play-offs so there is a lot of pressure on them at this stage.

Wycombe welcome back skipper Tommy Mooney and midfield maestro Tommy Doherty for the clash which Wanderers boss Paul Lambert has declared as a must-win match.

Mooney, 35, was rested for Monday's draw at Grimsby Town and did not even travel to Blundell Park as he was ordered to put his feet up, while the Doc missed both of Wycombe's Easter matches through suspension.

But while they come in, centre half Lewis Christon (ankle) and winger Lionel Ainsworth (groin) both look set to miss out.

Wanderers surrendered leads in both their Easter matches but manager Paul Lambert will resist the temptation to play Doherty in a buffer role just in front of the back four tomorrow.

Lambert said: "There's no point. We have got to win the game.

"We're not scared of Hartlepool one bit. Everyone in this division is much of a muchness. We are going to go out there and give it one big push to see if we can do it."

And he has called on the home fans for help tomorrow.

He said: "We'll need the crowd with us. We want them to be vibrant, to galvanise us and get us going at times in the game."
