Although I am not a great fan of Red Kite community housing, I feel compelled to write this letter of thanks to the management for acting very swiftly on two counts.
Firstly, clearing the area immediately in front of Johnson and Johnsons after the traveller encampment. They had left 15 tonnes of rubbish which had accumulated within the two weeks they were there. They also repaired the damage to the gates and fence. Local people were very grateful.
Secondly, Red Kite cut the grass verges along Holmers Farm Way. There seems to be some confusion over exactly who should cut them, though I am of the belief that it is the county council’s responsibility. But to show goodwill, Red Kite decided to cut it. When I drove along Holmers Farm Way, I was highly delighted. We still have to sort out whose responsibility it is as I believe it will be a minefield sorting out the maps and drawings.
However, I would like to congratulate Red Kite and the ground working crew from John O’Conner Ltd company. Well done! — Cllr Brian Pearce, Booker and Cressex, WDC
