I have read with interest the reports relating to the resurfacing works in Station Road and, in particular, the vehicle that the contractors had to work around rather than move.

The residents of Station Road did receive notification that the road would be closed for the essential works during June but no dates were given. On the afternoon of June 17, signs went up to say the work was to start the following day. Anyone away on holiday or business would not have had any prior warning to move their vehicle and I am surprised only one caused disruption given the poor notice.

In addition, the yellow lines are not being painted for two weeks and, in the meantime, drivers are clearly taking advantage of the lack of parking enforcement and leaving their vehicles in sections of the road which can only be described as dangerous.

In particular the bend of the road close to St Peters Street and the junction of Lock Road and Glade Road – at present you are taking your life into your hands and resulting in an accident waiting to happen. — Annie Mulady, Station Road, Marlow
