Wycombe District Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are four of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

1) Marlow Methodist Church, Spittal Street, Marlow: A proposal for the construction of front and rear extensions and associated alterations. The church was built in 1900 and has had a bits of work done since, such as the floor being replaced in 2007 as well as the pews being replaced and a new audio and visual system being installed.

2) 19 Rupert Avenue, High Wycombe: An application for construction of single storey rear, two storey front and part single part two storey side extension and alteration to fenestrations. If approved the property will have an additional day room and utility room.

3) Spade Oak Quarry, Marlow Road, Little Marlow: A prior notification (Part 4,Class E) for temporary change of use of Lake area for film-making purposes. It's unclear what film or TV programme they will be shooting for but it means we could be seeing Marlow on our TV screens soon.

4) 15 Hillside Road, Marlow: An application for single storey rear infill extension following demolition of existing conservatory, formation of new rear access steps & landing, alterations to fenestration including three rooflights and internal alterations.

5) Unit 2 The Common, Stokenchurch: A proposal for the demolition of an existing commercial building, erection of detached residential unit, associated bin store. The new house will have three bedrooms and be a two-storey property.
