Gareth Ainsworth’s potential move from Wycombe Wanderers to Queens Park Rangers is reportedly a ‘done deal’.

A source close to the Bucks Free Press revealed that the 49-year-old is expected to be announced as the Hoops’ new boss this week, following the sacking of Neil Critchley on February 19.

The news is yet to be confirmed by both clubs.

If Ainsworth makes the move to Loftus Road, he will end his 13-and-a-bit years with the Adams Park side, which began in November 2009.

He initially joined Wanderers on loan from QPR, before signing a permanent deal in January 2010.

Taking over as manager in September 2012, he has gone on to manage 550 games for the club and achieve two promotions.
