Children at a Marlow primary school dressed up as their favourite superhero to raise money for a charity inspired by a fellow pupil.
As part of World Book Day, pupils and teachers from Burford School in Marlow Bottom dressed up and raised £304.65 for the charity Spica Warrior on Friday March 4.
The charity was launched last year by Marlow author Natalie Trice after her 6-year-old son, Lucas, was diagnosed with Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) – a congenital condition that affects the hip joint and reduces mobility.
Mrs Trice also spoke to the school about her book - ‘Cast Life – A Parent’s Guide to DDH’ – which she wrote after realising there was little information for parents about the condition.
