A High Wycombe man who has been charged with the murder of a pensioner made his first appearance in court this morning.
Tautuydas Narbutas, 23, appeared at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court today charged with the murder of 81-year-old Albertina Choules from Marlow Bottom and two counts of attempted section 18 GBH – wounding with intent.
Narbutas, of Chiltern Avenue, who was handcuffed and surrounded by security officers, was wearing a grey prison tracksuit and had a bandage on his right hand.
With the help of a translator, he spoke only to confirm his name and address during the short hearing in front of three magistrates.
Narbutas was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court tomorrow morning (July 14) for a preliminary hearing.
He left Wycombe Magistrates' in the back of a prison van.
