With the summer coming to an end, many are now turning to indoor exercise to stay fit and help keep the Autumn blues away as days get shorter.

If you’ve got spare money to spend, a membership at one of the top-end wellness clubs could be on your bucket list.

At the luxury gyms, fitness enthusiasts can treat themselves to way more than just the workout with food, drinks and fresh towels availabe.

Here are some of the most expensive gyms in the county and nearby.

Cliveden House and Spa

 

The stunning estate at the Bucks and Berkshire border in Taplow has been the playground of the rich and famous for 350 years.

The hotel has been ranked among one of the most expensive places to stay at in the UK.

Residents and visitors not staying at the hotel who want to access the exquisite gym and pool area regularly can purchase a Cliveden Club membership package.

The spa and wellness area boasts a gym, indoor and outdoor pools and a Jacuzzi, two outdoor hot tubs, an infrared sauna, an infused steam room, tennis courts, a fitness studio with 25 classes a week and PT sessions on request among other perks.

One-person annual membership costs £5,500, while a one-year membership charged monthly will set you back by £510. There is also a joining fee of £1,050.

A three-year membership for two costs a whopping £23,305 plus a joining fee of £1,850.

David Lloyd Beaconsfield

 

The upmarket health club’s only Buckinghamshire site has everything for a post-workout pampering session.

The club in Wooburn Green boasts a gym, swimming pool, tennis courts, spa facilities, exercise classes, activities for children and a childcare nook and a restaurant and a bar.

David Lloyd Beaconsfield customers can choose from four different packages lasting either twelve or three months.

The most expensive Diamond membership package gives access to all the features at the Beaconsfield club without any restrictions, the spa, racquets and three free sessions with a personal trainer.

A 12-month Diamond membership costs £194 per month, while the basic Club membership with access to the gym, fitness studios and swimming pools during off-peak hours costs £99 per month.

Another David Lloyd Club has been announced in Buckinghamshire as part of the exclusive Newland Park development in Chalfont St Peter.

If approved, construction of the gym, swimming pools and tennis courts is due to begin next year. Membership prices for the new site will be revealed at a later date.

At a high street chain gym, a monthly membership usually costs between £30 and £50.
