Community Support Officers in Marlow have urged drivers to be aware of safety issues following reports of dangerous parking at schools around the town.

Officers patrolled near Spinfield School on Terrington Hill this week after reports of “drivers parking in a dangerous manner” who had been “causing safety issues for other road users, school children and other pedestrians”.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police warned motorists in Marlow not to park within 10 metres of a junction, on double yellow lines, restricted areas, corners or zig zags.

It comes after a driver was forced to pay over £500 after their car was seized outside Holy Trinity School in Marlow on September 27 after causing an “unnecessary obstruction” to other vehicles and driving without insurance.

Police also shared an image of a white car forcing other vehicles into oncoming traffic and obscuring the view on the corner of the road adjoining Holy Trinity School as another example of parking issues in the area.
