A CANCER victim and his family whose home was raided by burglars lost out on £31,000 due to a technicality on their insurance policy. Robert Cade was already battling with the illness when thieves broke into his Marlow house and took an array of items in November. The insurers refused to pay anything after it transpired the family's valuables ran to £27,000 - about £10,000 more than the small print allowed. The family told the Free Press that the financial shock had added a huge and unnecessary extra stress during an already terrible time for them.
