Wanderers defender Alfie Mawson has been beaten to the League Two Player of the Season award.
The 21-year-old, who has made 45 appearances this season, lost out to Bury’s Danny Mayor when the accolade was handed out at Sunday’s Football League Awards.
Mawson, who is on loan from Brentford, only joined Wycombe 24 hours before the start of the season and has gone on to play a crucial part in the club’s promotion push.
Ryan Woods was the other play who was in the contention to win the award, which was voted for by club managers.
