Residents have spoken out about their shock after a bus smashed into a house in Holmer Green at the weekend.
Neighbours in Wycombe Road reported hearing a loud bang when the crash happened, which saw five people injured and one person taken to hospital.
Norman Wilson, who lives next door to the property, said: “I was sitting in a chair looking out of the window when I suddenly saw a bus a lot closer than it usually is, and it just came across and went into the house.
“[There was a] loud bang when it hit the house. The lady living there was very shaken up. It all happened so quickly.”
A couple who live across the road from the house, and did not want to be named, said: “We were out in the back and I heard a bit of a bang, but that’s nothing unusual down here as it’s quite a busy road and lorries come down here often.
“[We] came up to the front here a minute or two later, looked out and saw the bus in the house. It was awful. [We were] very shocked when we saw it – it was a big shock.”
The bus driver in question has been ‘relieved of duties’ while an investigation is ongoing.
